Regarding the work of TAREA there are always opportunities for students and graduates from vocational training center and universities to work with TAREA as intern. This work would be depending on the current work situation at TAREA Secretariat and its corporate members, and be matched with the preferences of the intern . It is advisable for the interns coming to Tanzania for the first time, to plan for the internship of two months or more.
TAREA is working with the voluntary program AFP-EL organized in line with the city-partnership between Hamburg and Dar es Salaam. This program is supporting volunteers from Nicaragua, India and Tanzania to visit Germany for six months and get an extra qualification in the field of renewable energy and international business connections. The volunteers will also get a support for a language course and will have the opportunity to experience life in Germany.
In 2008, a new volunteer program started in cooperation with German-Tanzanian Partnership (DTP) and Urbis Foundation. Since then, TAREA is hosting young Tanzanian volunteers at different stations in the country.
